As the Mascot Coordinator for Ferris State University, I have had the privilege to dive into the mascot program. Becoming friends with "Ferris State's Goodest Boy" has opened numerous doors for me both on and off-campus. Brutus and I are both a part of the Student Alumni Gold Club, which is a 5-star RSO on campus that deals with alumni relations and university advancement. As Brutus's Coordinator, I am responsible for booking all events including rentals, sporting events, university appearances, and marketing opportunities. I am also in charge of managing his and his handler's schedules, social media profiles, pricing out his appearances and arranging his transportation. This club has given me countless opportunities and has grown my personal and professional network tremendously!

The hardest part of this position was keeping a two-year-long secret... I was Brutus! Becoming Brutus Ferris and taking on the responsibility of an athletic role was challenging but extremely rewarding. This position required me to attend almost every home athletic event and travel across the state for a wide variety of recruitment events, weddings, and more. The connection that I formed with Ferris State University and its students was unbelievable, and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to be the face of Ferris.
